Justo defeats Comesana after tiebreak exchange in Antofagasta

The opening sets were closely contested, and in the deciding set Justo’s edge became much more convincing.

Guido Ivan Justo beat Francisco Comesana in the round of 32 at the Challenger 75 event in Antofagasta: 6-7, 7-6, 6-1. According to api.tennis, this victory sent Justo into the next round.

From tiebreaks to a decisive advantage in the final set

Justo lost the first set in a tiebreak: 6-7. The next set also went to a tiebreak, but this time he came out on top: 7-6. Comesana was unable to close out the match after taking the opening set: the outcome was decided in the final set.

There was no longer any balance in the final set. Justo won it 6-1 and sealed the match with a victory. After two sets in which only the tiebreak separated the players, the deciding set gave him a clear edge.
