Biography

Aleksa Ciric was born on 21 June 2000 in Niš and grew up in Bela Palanka in south-eastern Serbia. He is a right-hander, 188 cm tall and weighs about 85 kg. In the ITF register he is registered under the Serbian flag.

He came through American college tennis for most of his path. In the 2021/22 season Ciric played for Lindsey Wilson University, and then moved to Georgia Gwinnett College, where he quickly became one of the leaders of the team. Twice, in 2023 and 2024, he was named to the ITA All-American team. In 2023 he reached the final of the NAIA singles event at the ITA Cup, and at the end of the 2024 season he was ranked No. 2 in the NAIA singles rankings. With Georgia Gwinnett College he won the 2023 and 2024 NAIA national team championships and the 2024 ITA NAIA winter team championship. The Serbian finished the 2024 season with an 18–4 record in singles and 10–5 in doubles, winning nine of ten matches at second position in the lineup.

After university he moved to the professional tour and continues to play mainly in the Americas: M15 and M25 tournaments in Pensacola, Lakewood and Louisville, as well as matches of the commercial UTR series. His career-high ATP singles ranking is No. 845.
