Biography

Ana Filipa Santos was born on 12 February 1996 in Portugal. She began playing tennis at the age of eight and prefers clay courts. She earned a master's degree in micro- and nanotechnology at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, defending her thesis with the highest grade.

On tour she plays mainly ITF tournaments, where she has focused on doubles. In singles since 2010 she has a record of 19 wins and 67 losses with no titles or finals, and her highest ranking is No. 814 (21 October 2024). She won her first international doubles title in Cancún with Swede Jacqueline Cabaj Awad. In 2024 and 2025 she won ITF doubles titles in São João da Boa Vista and Lousada.

Since 2019 she has played for the Portugal team in the Billie Jean King Cup (Fed Cup), where her record is one win and three losses. In the same year, at the Summer Universiade, she reached the doubles quarterfinal with Martim Prata. Her highest position in the WTA doubles rankings is No. 486, reached on 22 June 2026.
