Biography
Andres Urrea was born on 31 August 1994 in Mexico and plays for Colombia. He is right-handed and 175 cm tall. He has been on the professional tour since 2017.
In singles he did not reach great heights: his career high is No. 1081 (23 September 2019), and he has won only a few matches at the senior level in his career. He plays mainly doubles and changes partners from tournament to tournament: in different years he took the court with Nicolás Mejía, Juan Sebastián Gómez and Matías Soto.
He won his first doubles Challenger title in 2022 in Bogotá together with Nicolás Mejía. At ITF tournaments in 2023–2026 he won doubles events in Trujillo, Arequipa (twice), Santo Domingo and Quito — his partners were Gómez, Soto and Mejía again.
His best doubles ranking in his career is No. 239 (August 2024). The main part of his seasons is spent at ITF tournaments and Challengers in doubles.
