As a junior, he won the Orange Bowl under-14 title (2018), claimed two junior Grand Slam doubles titles, at the 2021 US Open and the 2022 Australian Open, and reached the singles semifinal at the 2022 US Open, rising to 11th in the ITF junior rankings.
He won his first adult title in 2023 in Tunisia, and that same year reached his first Challenger final, in Shenzhen. In 2025 at the US Open he became the first player from Hong Kong to win a match at a Grand Slam, defeating Aleksandar Kovacevic and Adam Walton and reaching the third round, where he lost to Andrey Rublev; earlier that season, in Miami, he defeated Ben Shelton.
In 2026 he won Hong Kong's first ATP Challenger title, in Jiujiang, reached the quarterfinal in Delray Beach and the semifinal of the ATP tournament in Los Cabos, beating Jiri Lehecka and Jenson Brooksby along the way, and broke into the singles top 100 for the first time.
