Biography
Daniil Sarksian was born on 20 June 2006; he is a right-hander, about 180 centimetres tall. He began in Russian tennis, and from around the age of sixteen he has trained in Spain, at Rafael Nadal's academy in Mallorca. As a junior he managed to play at Grand Slam tournaments, including in Paris in 2024. On 31 December 2025 he officially changed his sporting nationality and began representing Armenia; his first match under the new flag was against the Frenchman Nicolas Temachek at an ITF $15,000 event in Monastir, Tunisia. The Armenian player builds his senior career at lower-category ITF tournaments — above all in Tunisia, Spain and Turkey. His career-high singles ranking on the ATP list is No. 908, while in doubles his positions are noticeably higher than in singles, and it is doubles that brings him the main share of his ranking points. His total career prize money so far stands at around €17,000.
