Biography

Dino Prizmic was born on August 5, 2005 in Split, Croatia. He plays right-handed, with a two-handed backhand, and prefers clay courts; his height is listed on the ATP profile as 188 centimeters. He started playing tennis in Split, then moved to Zagreb for further development. In junior tennis, he quickly established himself among the strongest players of his age: in 2022 he reached the semifinal at Roland Garros in the boys' event, the third round of the Australian Open, and the second round of Wimbledon. In July 2022, he became a finalist at the European Junior Championships in Klosters. In early 2023, he climbed to eighth place in the ITF junior rankings. The main achievement of this stage was winning the boys' title at Roland Garros in 2023, where in the final he defeated Bolivian Juan Carlos Prado Angelo, becoming the first Croatian winner of the boys' singles event in Paris since Marin Cilic in 2005.

At the same time, Prizmic successfully made the transition to professional tennis. In 2023 he won an ITF tournament in Porec, reached the quarterfinals of five Challenger tournaments, and then claimed his first title at this level in Banja Luka. At the ATP tournament in Banja Luka he came through qualifying, and in Umag he won his first main draw match at an ATP event, beating fellow Croatian Duje Ajdukovic. At the 2023 Croatia Open, Prizmic reached the quarterfinal, where he lost to Alexei Popyrin in a hard-fought match.

In 2024 he made his Grand Slam main draw debut at the Australian Open, facing Novak Djokovic in the first round. In the 2025 season he put together a strong run at Challenger events: from May to August he played in five consecutive finals, winning titles in Zagreb and Bratislava. In 2025 he also qualified for the season-ending tournament for players under 20. In 2026 he achieved the biggest win of his career, beating Djokovic at the Masters tournament in Rome and reaching the fourth round there. His career-high ATP ranking is No. 70, achieved in June 2026.

According to his ATP profile, his record at Challenger tournaments stands at 69 wins and 40 losses, with a 3-4 record in finals; he has won three titles at this level overall. He has yet to win a singles title at ATP Tour or Grand Slam level.
