Biography
Edda Mamedova was born on 12 October 2006 in Moscow and is 163 centimeters tall. She entered the professional tour as a teenager and twice won the ITF W15 tournament in Kayseri, in 2024 and 2025; thanks to these successes she rose to No. 716 in the WTA singles rankings. In parallel she chose the American college path and enrolled at the University of Oklahoma, whose women's team competes in the SEC conference. Her debut 2025/26 season was productive right away: in the spring NCAA portion she won fourteen singles matches against seven losses, playing mainly at second position in the lineup, and reached No. 34 in the college rankings. In doubles, where her partner on the second line was Evialina Laskevich, the record was even better, fifteen wins against five losses and a No. 15 ranking; over the course of the spring she beat five ranked opponents. For this season the freshman was named to the SEC All-Conference Second Team and the SEC All-Freshman Team, and she moved into her sophomore year as one of the leaders of the lineup.
