Biography
Eleonora Alvisi was born on 13 March 2003 in Barletta, Italy. She is right-handed. She began playing tennis at the age of six and prefers clay courts.
As a junior, in October 2020, together with Lisa Pigato she won the girls' doubles tournament at Roland Garros, defeating Maria Bondarenko and Diana Shnaider in the final. In 2021, with the same partner, she reached the semifinals of junior doubles at Roland Garros, and with Matilde Paoletti the round of 16 at Wimbledon. Her highest position in the ITF junior rankings was No. 36 (January 2021).
On the senior tour, in March 2022 she won her first and so far only ITF singles title, the W15 tournament in Marrakech. In May of the same year she received a wild card into the qualifying of the Italian Open, her first WTA tournament. In 2023 she made her WTA main-draw debut in Parma, losing in the first round in three sets to fourth seed Viktorija Tomova.
She has never risen above No. 663 in singles (July 2024). She mainly plays ITF tournaments, where besides her singles title she has one doubles title.
