Emma Ottavia Ghirardato is an Italian tennis player, born on 31 January 2005 in Turin; she is 175 cm tall. Her first successes came in junior tennis: in 2021 she became Italian under-16 girls' doubles champion. In the summer of 2022 the Piedmont native played two ITF junior finals in a row: first in Hilversum in the Netherlands, where she was the third seed, and a week later in Ioannina in Greece, where she won her first title, beating local player Marinti Christoforidou in three sets, 1–6, 6–3, 7–6. In total at the junior level she has two singles titles, including a J3 tournament in Palermo, and three in doubles; in the ITF junior rankings Ghirardato rose as high as No. 64 and managed to play at three Grand Slam girls' tournaments — the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. In 2024 she moved to the United States and began playing for the University of Oklahoma team in the NCAA. Her debut 2024/25 season brought her a 7–7 record in singles and 4–5 in doubles, and her best matches came at the Milwaukee Classic, the ITA Central Regional, the TCU Jae Foundation Invitational and the Rice Invitational. Alongside college tennis, Ghirardato plays professional W15 events: her best result of the 2026 season was a July final in Savitaipale, Finland.
