Biography
Francisco Cabral was born on 8 January 1997 in Porto. He is right-handed, stands 191 cm tall, and has been on tour since 2014.
He has not achieved great heights in singles: 45 wins against 82 losses at the adult level, with a career-high ranking of 862nd (5 March 2018). Since 2021 he has focused on doubles, and that season he won a record six Challenger titles with Nuno Borges.
In 2022 he reached his first ATP final, at his home tournament in Estoril, where together with Borges he beat top seeds Jamie Murray and Michael Venus; this was the first title-match win for a Portuguese pair at an ATP tournament. That same summer he claimed his second title, in Gstaad with Bosnian Tomislav Brkic. Since 2022 he has represented Portugal in the Davis Cup.
At the Paris Olympics (2024) he played in doubles with Borges, beating the Greek Tsitsipas brothers in the first round but losing to Germans Kevin Krawietz...
