Biography
Harry Cicma was born on 18 February 1982 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. He played right-handed, used a two-handed backhand; height is not given in the available profiles. He played tennis in his junior years, represented New England at national USTA competitions and was among the top ten American juniors in doubles. After finishing school he continued playing for the Rutgers University team in NCAA Division I, where he played from 2000 to 2004 and earned a varsity letter. Cicma's professional debut came in October 2002: at the tournament in Newport he played in doubles with Greg Schweitzer. In 2003 they played at tournaments in Forest Hills and Atlantic City, and in early 2004 they came through qualifying into the main draw of the tournament in San Jose, where they met Jürgen Melzer and Karsten Braasch. Cicma reached his highest ATP doubles ranking, No. 1262, on 16 June 2003. In singles he played at events in 2003, 2007 and 2008; among the most notable results is a win over former top-forty player Bud Schultz at the tournament in Weymouth. In 2006 Cicma won a regional USTA clay-court tournament, as well as the Rhode Island state men's championship, which did not have ATP tournament status. In July 2008 he played his last professional match at the tournament in Newport. In 2016 he returned to competition in doubles and played with the American Evan King at an ITF tournament in Puerto Rico: the pair won their opening match and reached the quarterfinals. The official ITF statistics list one win and one loss in doubles.
