Biography
Julia Grabher was born on July 2, 1996 in Dornbirn, stands 170 cm tall. She started playing tennis in early childhood and prefers clay courts. Since 2015 she has represented Austria in the Billie Jean King Cup.
She played her first ITF tournaments in 2012, and in August 2015 won her first title. Over the course of her career she has claimed 16 singles titles on the ITF circuit, including a win at the $100,000 event in Maspalomas in 2023. In September 2022 she won the WTA 125 tournament in Bari, breaking into the top 100 of the rankings for the first time.
2023 turned out to be Grabher's best year: she made her Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open, earned her first win at Roland Garros, and reached the final of the WTA tournament in Rabat, where she lost to Lucia Bronzetti. In May she climbed to No. 74, and after her title in Maspalomas she rose to a career-high No. 54 (June 26, 2023). Soon after that, a wrist injury forced her to cut her season short.
Grabher returned to the tour in 2024, and in October 2025 she won her second WTA 125 title, in Florianopolis, returning to the top 100 of the rankings. In 2026 she reached the second round of the Australian Open and the final of the WTA 125 tournament in Kitzbühel, where she lost to compatriot Sinja Kraus.
