Biography
Leyton Rivera was born on 28 October 2001 in Kristianstad, Sweden, and is 183 cm tall. He was named after the Australian tennis player Lleyton Hewitt. At the age of 11 he moved with his family to Bergen, Norway, and has played for Norway ever since.
As a junior he played ITF tournaments and rose to No. 210 in the world rankings. He has played as a professional since 2020, mainly at lower-category ITF events, and has concentrated mostly on doubles.
In 2022 he made his debut on the main ATP tour, playing for the Norwegian team at the ATP Cup: partnering Andrea Petrovic, he lost the match against the Chilean team. Since 2025 he has won two ITF doubles titles — in Madrid with Alexander Chaika and in Vienna with Alexander Brainin.
His highest rankings are No. 1012 in singles and No. 804 in doubles, both reached on 14 September 2026.
