Manuel Mazza

Biography

Manuel Mazza was born on 16 April 1999; the Italian press invariably calls him a Rimini native: he is from Romagna and represents the Tennis Club Viserba. He plays right-handed. His career fits entirely within the lower floors of the men's tour: ITF tournaments and Challenger qualifying, almost always on clay. Mazza took his first international title in May 2022 in Cairo, after which a long pause followed. June 2025 turned out to be truly successful: first he won a 15-thousand-dollar event in Caltanissetta, beating his compatriot Gianmarco Ferrari in the final, 6-2, 6-4, and two weeks later added a bigger trophy in Cattolica, where on the courts of the Queen's Club in front of full stands he beat Carlo Alberto Caniato, 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and seventeen minutes. His fourth title came on 6 September 2026 in Bologna: there the Italian came back after losing the first set and beat Gabriele Bosio, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. In the same season he reached the final in Cesena and the quarterfinals of the tournament in Antalya, where he beat the second seed Cezar Cretu. In the ATP singles rankings Mazza rose to No. 509, and in doubles to No. 752.
