Biography
Mariano Kestelboim was born on February 6, 1996, in Buenos Aires. Right-handed, 185 cm tall. He had a brief junior career, reaching only No. 375 in the ITF rankings (2012), before moving on to professional tennis.
Since 2013, he has competed steadily at the professional level. In singles, he claimed four ITF titles between 2016 and 2018 (twice in Tunisia, plus Chile and Argentina) and lost in seven other finals, then added a fifth title in 2024, in Villa María. He reached his career-high singles ranking of No. 387 in September 2017; nowadays he rarely competes in that discipline.
His main successes have come in doubles. Since 2023, he has reached several Challenger finals, including Santa Fe 2023 with Franco Agamenone and Montevideo 2024 with Franco Roncadelli (both lost). He has also won ITF doubles titles in Buenos Aires and Santander in 2023, and in Grasse and Santa Margherita di Pula in 2024. Early 2025 brought his first Challenger-level title, in Tigre, partnering Gonzalo Villanueva; soon after, he made his ATP main-draw debut in Buenos Aires, stepping in as an alternate alongside Juan Pablo Ficovich they lost to Alexander Erler and Constantin Frantzen.
By September 2026, he had climbed to No. 96 in the ATP doubles rankings, a career high, surpassing his previous peak of No. 186 set in mid-2024. In singles, he currently sits outside the top 800.
