Biography
Marie Mattel was born on 7 January 2000 in Le Plessis-Bouchard, France. She is right-handed. From 2018 to 2023 she played for the University of Central Florida college team.
As a junior she took part in the Les Petits As tournament (2013–2014). She builds her senior career mainly in doubles at ITF tournaments: in 2024 she reached the semifinal in Nantes with Tiphanie Lemaître, and in November of that year she won her first doubles title — in Villeneuve-d'Ascq with Daria Freiman.
In 2025 she played semifinals and quarterfinals at tournaments in France with various partners and won a second title — in Darmstadt with Chelsea Fontenel. In 2026 she added titles in Dijon and Nogent-sur-Marne, and in April she made her debut on the WTA main tour — at the tournament in Rouen, where she and Yaroslava Bartashevich lost in the first round of doubles.
In singles she has not risen above No. 950 (4 May 2026), and in doubles in recent seasons she has reached at least No. 295. In total she has four ITF doubles titles.
