Maxim Shin

Biography

Maxim Shin was born on 4 June 2003 and represents Uzbekistan. He plays ITF M15 and M25 tournaments and occasionally tries his hand in Challenger qualifying draws. The most notable line in his biography is a call-up to the national team: in February 2024 he was named to Uzbekistan's squad for the Davis Cup qualifying-round tie against Poland, hosted by Tashkent's Humo Arena, and played a doubles match there, which was lost in two sets. Alongside him on that team were Denis Istomin, Khumoyun Sultanov, Sergey Fomin and Amir Milushev. In May 2025 at the home M15 tournament in Tashkent, Shin reached the quarterfinals in singles, winning two matches in a row, and in doubles with Italy's Lorenzo Lorusso reached the semifinals. He spent the 2026 season on the road — he played in China, Turkey, Georgia and Tunisia; in September he reached the round of 16 of an M25 tournament in Guiyang, but the overall record of the year turned out modest: six wins in nineteen matches over fourteen tournaments played. He reached his singles career high in 2026, rising to about No. 960.
