Biography
Megan Heuser was born on 5 February 2003 in Lyndhurst, Illinois, and represents the USA. She is 175 cm tall and plays right-handed. She picked up a racket at the age of three: there had been no tennis in her family before her, and her father instilled her interest in the game. At Lakes Community High School she was one of the strongest junior players in the state: she was named to all-county and all-state teams four times, won the county championship four times, and in 2019 became Illinois state champion with a high-school record of 122-3. She spent the next four years in the NCAA playing for the University of Illinois. Her college career ended with 56 wins and 42 losses in singles and 71 wins and 52 losses in doubles. In the 2022/23 season, together with Kate Duong, she was named to the NCAA All-America doubles team. She finished her final season with records of 16-12 and 15-17 and was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team; she was three times on the conference academic team. On the professional calendar she plays mainly on the ITF women's circuit, and almost all her notable results come in doubles: a W15 final in Rogaska Slatina with Petja Drame, a W35 semifinal in Bydgoszcz with Anet Angelika Koskel, and a quarterfinal in Krsko with Maria Andrienko. She does not yet have a regular partner.
