Biography
Meiling Wang was born on 22 February 2000 in Tieling, Liaoning Province. She came to tennis at the age of seven, joined the provincial team at ten, and later played for the Liaoning Hongyun club. In 2017, as part of the provincial team, she won bronze in the team event of the National Games of China.
In 2018 she made her WTA debut — first in doubles at the Tianjin Open with Liu Yanni, and then she tried her hand in qualifying several times. She has spent most of her career on the ITF circuit, where she has won singles and doubles titles; her first wins at that level came in 2022–2023.
A notable episode was 2024: a wildcard into the main draw of the Beijing WTA 1000 China Open, where she lost in the first round to lucky loser Jana Fett, and the title at the ITF W75 in Luan. Her career-high singles ranking is No. 320 (31 March 2025), and in doubles No. 459 (November 2023).
In 2025–2026 she concentrated on ITF doubles: wins in Luan and Manshan (W15 tournaments) in 2026 and in Qiandaohu (W35) in 2025 with various partners.
