Biography
Nicholas Campbell was born on 28 July 1999 in Larnaca, Cyprus. In tennis he represents Cyprus and plays right-handed; his height is about 175 cm. He started playing in childhood, and from 2006 he trained at the Herodotou academy. In his youth he was part of the Cyprus national teams at under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 level, and also represented the country in the Davis Cup for two years. In 2017 Campbell won the Cyprus national junior championship and was a finalist at the national men's championship. In the ITF junior ranking he rose to 451st place on 4 September 2017. After his school career he continued playing in US college tennis: first he represented Creighton University, then Elon University. With the Elon Phoenix in 2021 he posted a record of 10 wins and 1 loss in singles, in 2022 he was named the most valuable player of the conference championship, and in 2023 he was named to the conference first team in singles and doubles. In professional tennis Campbell played mainly on the ITF circuit and in Davis Cup matches. His career high in the ATP ranking is 1692nd, reached on 1 April 2024.
