Nikita Filin

Biography

Nikita Filin was born on 3 May 2006 in the USA. He plays under the American flag. From 2021 to 2024 he played on the ITF junior tour, rising to No. 57 in the ranking; he has four junior singles titles and seven in doubles, among them a victory at the J1 tournament in San Diego.

In 2024 he enrolled at Ohio State University, where he plays for the university team in college tennis, while at the same time trying his hand among the professionals. In the summer of that year he received a wild card into the qualifying of the Challenger in Chicago, but lost in the first round. Together with Alexander Razeghi he won the US junior championship, which gave the right to play in the doubles at the 2024 US Open among the professionals.

In 2026, with Brandon Carpico, he again reached the main draw of the US Open doubles on a wild card: the pair sensationally defeated the seeded Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos in the first round, and in the second the experienced Marcelo Melo and John Peers.

His highest singles ranking is No. 1142 (24 August 2026), and in doubles No. 289 (14 September 2026).
