Biography
Renee Alame was born on 5 May 2009 in Australia and represents Sydney, New South Wales. She plays right-handed; details of her height and backhand type are not listed in the available profiles. Alame made an early mark in junior tennis at the national level: in 2022 she won the Australian Claycourt Championships in the under-12 division and the Australian Hardcourt Championships in the under-14 division, and in 2023 she became the champion of the Australian Claycourt Championships in the under-14 category. In 2023 she also took part in the under-14 event at Wimbledon. In August 2024, Alame reached the final of the New South Wales Junior Open, winning 30 of her first 38 matches of the season on the ITF Junior Circuit, and climbed to 118th in the world junior rankings. A notable breakthrough came in 2025: in March she claimed her first singles title in more than a year at the J100 tournament in Canberra, beating South Korea's Hyun-yi Lee in the final 6:1, 6:1. That same season, Alame won two J200 doubles titles, in Nonthaburi and Kuala Lumpur, and also recorded her first match wins at Grand Slam junior events at the Australian Open and the US Open. She has represented Australia at the Junior Billie Jean King Cup: in 2024 the team reached the quarterfinals, and in 2025 Alame was again named to the squad for the finals in Santiago. Her best ITF junior ranking to date is 40th, achieved in 2025. In 2026 she received a wild card into the qualifying draw of the adult Australian Open and won her first-round match in the junior singles tournament. So far, her main achievements remain tied to junior tennis: three national titles in the younger age groups, a J100 singles title, two J200 doubles titles, and appearances for Australia at the Junior Billie Jean King Cup.
