Biography
Shihomi Li Xuan Leong is a Malaysian tennis player, born on 6 June 2007. Her home city is Ipoh in the state of Perak, where she also finished school; she is about 160 cm tall. Despite her name of mixed origin, her belonging to Malaysia is unambiguous: the country code is indicated in her ITF registration profile, and she plays for Malaysia in team competitions. Her junior period was eventful — nine ITF junior titles and a rise to No. 145 in the junior rankings. In parallel she joined the national team and played for it in the Billie Jean King Cup. In December 2025 Leong represented Malaysia at the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand: together with the team she won a bronze medal, and in singles she reached the quarterfinals, where she lost to the Filipino Alex Eala, 3–6, 1–6. In autumn 2025 she began studies at Pepperdine University and started to play for the university team in the WCC conference. Her second college season brought her a place on the All-WCC second team in doubles, two appearances on the conference's weekly list of top pairs and a 12–4 record in doubles. She combines her professional calendar with her college one: in 2026 she played W15 tournaments in China and Japan — Tianjin, Luan, Sapporo, Tokyo, Fukui — and the W35 in Arcadia, California, where she recorded eight wins in fifteen matches. She has no senior ITF titles yet.
