Biography
Sofia Rocchetti was born on 23 August 2002 in Italy. She plays right-handed and prefers clay courts. She took up tennis at the age of eight.
She has spent most of her career on the ITF circuit: by 2022 she had a 19–29 record in singles at the senior level. In 2023–2026 she won at least two ITF singles titles and two in doubles, including a singles title in Grado in 2026.
In May 2024 she played the qualifying of a main-level WTA tournament for the first time, on a wild card — the Italian Open in Rome. In August of that year she rose to No. 380 in singles, the highest of her career.
In doubles, Rocchetti's titles include the ITF W35 in Solarino (2024, with Silvia Ambrosio) and the W15 in Madrid (2025, with Angela Okutoyi).
