Tallon Griekspoor

Biography

Tallon Griekspoor was born on July 2, 1996, in Haarlem. He is right-handed and stands 188 cm tall. His older twin brothers Kevin and Scott also played professional tennis. He started playing tennis in early childhood at the club in Nieuw-Vennep, later moving to the club in Zandvoort.

He began his professional career in 2015, picking up his first titles on the Futures circuit in 2016-2017. He won his first Challenger title in Tampere in 2018, and his second in Banja Luka in 2019. The 2021 season proved record-breaking: eight Challenger titles, including five in a row in the fall, the best result in the history of that series; that same year he made his debut in the top 100.

In January 2023, he won his first ATP title in Pune, and in the summer, his second, at his home tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch. That same year he reached the third round of the Australian Open for the first time and climbed to No. 21 in the rankings (November 2023), the career-high of his career. In November 2024, together with the Dutch national team, he reached the Davis Cup final for the first time in the country's history.

In 2025, he reached the quarterfinal of the Masters tournament in Indian Wells, beating Alexander Zverev along the way, and defeated Daniil Medvedev; in the fall he won the title in Mallorca, and in the spring he lost in the final in Marrakech. In 2026, he reached the final in Dubai, retiring from the match against Medvedev due to injury.
