Biography
Tatum Evans was born on 18 August 2005 in the United States. From a young age she played at ITF junior tournaments and in college tennis; at 15, while studying at McLean School, she won the Easter Bowl in San Diego, one of the USTA national championships, in under-16 doubles.
In 2021–2023 she played in junior tournaments of all four Grand Slams. Her best results were the second round of singles at the 2022 US Open, the semifinal in doubles at Wimbledon 2023 (with Alanis Hamilton) and the quarterfinal in doubles at the 2023 US Open with the same partner.
Since 2023 she has played for the University of North Carolina team (North Carolina Tar Heels) in NCAA college tennis; in June 2026 she was named to the second team of the NCAA and NAIA Academic All-America team.
On the adult tour she so far plays mainly at ITF tournaments: she won her first doubles title in May 2026, and in the summer of the same year took a singles title at the W15 tournament in Lakewood (California). She rose to No. 699 in the singles ranking, her career high.
