Biography
Tereza Krejcova was born on 30 August 2008 in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. She is right-handed, began playing tennis at the age of six and prefers hard courts. In junior tennis her most notable season was 2024: she finished it ninth in the ITF girls’ world rankings and was in the top hundred throughout the year. In May 2024 she won the ITF J200 in Villach, beating the Ukrainian Anna Firman 6–2, 6–3 in the singles final. At the same tournament Krejcova also won the doubles title together with Magdaléna Smeková. In December 2024 she achieved her biggest junior success, winning the prestigious Orange Bowl tournament in the J500 category in Miami. In 2023 she represented the Czech Republic at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Maribor: she reached the singles quarterfinal, where she lost to the Spaniard Charo Esquiva Bañuls, and won a bronze medal in the doubles event. In adult tennis she played mainly at ITF tournaments; her WTA profile is marked as inactive, and she has no singles titles yet. Her key junior results are a win at the J500 tournament, wins at the J200 in singles and doubles, and ninth place in the final ITF ranking for 2024.
