Biography
Yuichiro Inui was born on 2 April 1995 in Japan. He is 187 centimeters tall and weighs about 84 kilograms; in the Japanese press he is described as a player with a powerful serve, and he himself named its record speed — 217 kilometers per hour. He first picked up a racket at the age of ten and began his professional career in February 2016.
Inui puts his main efforts into doubles. In 2024 he won two ITF M15 tournaments — in Tashkent and in Tanagura, Japan, and in February 2025 he added an M25 title in Timaru, New Zealand. In May 2026 in Luan, China, he took another trophy: together with Yuta Kikuchi they defeated the Chinese duo Tang Shen / Yang Zujian in the final 4–6, 6–3, 10–8. Earlier Inui reached the doubles final of an M15 tournament in Hong Kong, playing with Kazuki Nishiwaki.
Since 1 August 2025 he has played for the Japanese club Team REC, with which he also plays in the country's team league: in the 2026 season, in the league quarterfinal, he took the court for the doubles match together with Tomohiro Masabayashi. In 2023–2025 Inui represented Kumamoto Prefecture at the National Sports Festival of Japan.
