Biography
Yuliya Perapekhina was born on 8 July 2008 and represents Belarus. She is left-handed with a two-handed backhand. As a junior she was among the notable players of her generation: her best position in the ITF world junior rankings was No. 43. In January 2024, when she was fifteen, the Belarusian qualified for the main draw of the junior Australian Open, reached the second round in singles, and in doubles, partnering Kazakhstan's Asylzhan Arystanbekova, reached the round of 16, beating the home pair of Alame and Subasic 6–1, 6–3. A year later she returned to Melbourne and again reached the round of 16, this time in singles, where she lost to top-seeded Australian Emerson Jones, 3–6, 2–6. Her move to the senior tour began at the lowest categories: at ITF W15 tournaments in Tunisia and Egypt, Perapekhina won two titles in 2026, and her record at this level over the season was 17 wins against 2 losses, including one more final, in Hurghada. Her best WTA singles ranking was reached precisely during this stretch.
