Biography
Ziva Falkner was born on 7 July 2002 in Slovenia. She has played since the age of six and prefers clay courts.
As a junior in 2020, she reached the Australian Open doubles final with Matilda Mutavdzic, losing the deciding match to Alexa Yla and Priska Madelyn Nugroho.
On the senior tour, up to 2022 she accumulated 56 wins and 48 losses in singles, winning one ITF title (Otocec, 2020) and losing three W15 finals in 2021. That same year she received a wild card to the WTA tournament in Slovenia but lost in the first round to Aleksandra Krunic. She reached her career-high singles ranking of No. 397 in September 2023.
After 2023 she concentrated on doubles: she won ITF tournaments in Santa Margherita di Pula (2023), Turin, Zagreb and Sibenik (all in 2024) and Monastir (2025), as well as a W15 singles title in Banja Luka in 2024.
