About the tournament

M15 Šibenik is a hub tournament on the men's ITF World Tennis Tour, the entry level category of the professional calendar (M15), held in the coastal Croatian city of Šibenik on the Dalmatian coast. Over the course of a season, several numbered editions are traditionally played back to back on the same clay courts, which is typical for clubs hosting a tight block of grassroots level tournaments: this is convenient for organizers thanks to ready made infrastructure, and it allows players to avoid spending time and money traveling between weeks. The venue for the professional tournaments in Šibenik is the tennis club "Šubićevac" (Teniski klub "Šubićevac"), which also hosts higher status women's ITF events, including the W75 Šibenik Open. The surface is outdoor clay, typical of the summer and autumn calendar in the Balkans and of South European M15/M25 events in general. These tournaments mainly feature young players collecting their first ATP ranking points, as well as experienced professionals outside the top 300-500 who use the region's clay season for a steady flow of matches.
