About the tournament
M25 Rodez is a regular tournament of the men's ITF World Tennis Tour held in the French city of Rodez (Occitania region) on indoor hard courts. The official designation in the calendar is "M25+H Rodez", where the letter H indicates additional hospitality/support for the tournament from the organizers. The competition is traditionally scheduled in autumn, during the European indoor winter season, when players move from clay and outdoor courts indoors — in this sense Rodez is part of a whole chain of French indoor hard-court tournaments of a similar level (along with cities such as Nevers), which are held in a dense succession in October–November, allowing players to earn ranking points without long journeys. The M25 category occupies an intermediate rung between the lower M15 and the stages immediately preceding the ATP Challenger Tour, so Rodez is contested mainly by young French and European players outside the top 300, as well as experienced veterans maintaining their ranking. The prize money of tournaments in this category is usually about $25,000. Up-to-date information on the editions is published on the official ITF calendar.
