Nevers

About the tournament

M25 Nevers is a men's professional tournament on the ITF World Tennis Tour, in the M25 category, held annually in the French city of Nevers (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region). The competition takes place on indoor hard courts at a tennis complex located at 4 Route de Coulanges, in the PAE Nevers-Saint-Éloi area. Holding the event indoors in autumn is typical for the French calendar of grassroots tournaments: covered courts allow organizers to guarantee play regardless of weather during the cold season, while the relatively modest prize fund (in recent years around $30,000) is standard for the M25 category, the second tier of the men's ITF professional tour, following the entry-level M15 and preceding the ATP Challenger Tour. These tournaments feature young players breaking into the ATP world top 300-500, as well as tour veterans looking to earn points to maintain their status. Judging by the numbering of editions and the regularity of the event since 2019 (with a break during the pandemic year of 2020), Nevers has already established itself as a stable fixture in the autumn calendar of French tennis, attracting players from across Europe thanks to convenient logistics and predictable indoor hard court conditions. Key information is published through the official ITF calendar.
