About the tournament
J30 Djibouti is an international ITF junior tournament held in the city of Djibouti, the capital of the country of the same name. The J30 category corresponds to the entry level of the modern junior ladder and is close to the former fifth category: players under 18 compete here, earning their first international ranking points and gaining match experience outside national competitions. The tournament is played on outdoor hard courts. Such events are numerous and spread across the world, as they provide an accessible step between domestic junior tournaments and stronger international competitions.
