Badosa defeats Kasatkina in three sets in Beijing

Paula Badosa defeated Daria Kasatkina in the round of 128 at the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing on hard court, 4-6 7-6(7) 6-4. The win sent Badosa into the next round.

The match turned after the first set

Kasatkina took the opening set 6-4, but the second set went to a tiebreak. Badosa stayed in the match and claimed it 7-6(7), sending the meeting to a deciding set.

In the third set, Badosa again won by two games, 6-4. According to api.tennis, the final set score was 2:1 in favor of the Spanish player.
