Henrique Rocha won the EuPago Porto Open Challenger 125. In the final, the Portuguese player beat Spain’s Inaki Montes De La Torre 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 to claim the title. Match statistics are provided by api.tennis.
A start for the Spaniard, the denouement for the home player
The first set went to Montes De La Torre, 6-2. Rocha levelled the match in the second and took the set 6-4. The decisive set ended the same way, 6-4, in Rocha’s favor, and it was that set that decided the winner.
Rocha reached the final by beating Cezar Cretu (7-5, 6-3), Mili Poljicak (6-2, 6-0) and August Holmgren (6-3, 7-6). In the semifinal, he defeated Jerome Kym. Montes De La Torre made his way to the final with wins over Luca Potenza (6-3, 6-2), Jake Fearnley (7-6, 3-0), Hugo Grenier (6-2, 7-6) and David Jorda Sanchis (6-2, 6-3).
Rocha played the tournament as the eighth seed. According to rank.tennis, he is ranked 103rd and has 582 points to his name.
