Alexandra Shubladze has won the Jingshan Tennis Open, a WTA 125 event. In the final, the sixth-seeded Russian beat top seed Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Spain 6-3, 6-2. The hard-court tournament carried a prize fund of $115,000.

Shubladze won both sets of the final. She dropped three games in the first set and two in the second. The final score was 2-0 in sets, with the second set even more convincing than the first.

Road to the title

Shubladze began the tournament with a win over Rina Saigo 7-5, 6-3, then thrashed Jia-Jing Lu 6-0, 6-2. The longest match came in the quarterfinal against Sijia Wei: after losing the first set in a tiebreak 6-7(3), the Russian won the next two 6-3, 6-2. That was the only set she dropped all week. In the semifinal, Shubladze beat Emerson Jones 7-5, 6-4.
