Mirra Andreeva defeated Nikola Bartunkova 6-2, 6-2 in the semifinal of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing to reach the final. The result and details of the players’ runs through the draw are according to api.tennis.

Both sets followed the same script

Andreeva took the opening set with a clear advantage in games. Bartunkova could not change the balance of power in the second: Mirra matched her first-set result and wrapped up the match.

Andreeva’s semifinal was more straightforward than her previous match. In the quarterfinal, she defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6(4), 7-6(3), taking both sets in tiebreaks. Earlier, Mirra had beaten Yue Yuan, Polina Kudermetova and Daria Snigur. The only set she dropped on this run was against Yue Yuan.

Bartunkova reached the semifinal with wins over Magdalena Frech, Aryna Sabalenka, Sinja Kraus and Karolina Muchova. She defeated Muchova 6-3, 6-0 in the quarterfinal, but could not continue her winning run in the next round.

According to api.tennis, Andreeva has won both of her head-to-head meetings with Bartunkova. Both took place in 2026. In their previous match, Mirra won 6-2, 7-6(7): the final set went to a tiebreak then, while one was not needed in the Beijing semifinal.
