Dart beats Yihan Qu at the start of the Beijing tournament

Harriet Dart defeated Yihan Qu in the round of 128 at the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing on hard court, 6-2 6-7(5) 7-5.

After Dart took the opening set, Yihan Qu held on in the second set and won the tiebreak 7-5. In the deciding set, Dart again moved ahead and closed out the match at 7-5.

According to api.tennis, this was their only head-to-head meeting: Dart now leads 1:0.
