From a tiebreak to a clear advantage
The first set required a tiebreak. Fery won it 7-6, with the opening set offering little separation in games.
In the second set, there was no longer any even contest on the scoreboard: Fery closed it out 6-1. After a tight first set, the Brit consolidated his advantage and sealed the match 2:0 in sets.
