The biggest move of the week belongs to Talia Gibson. She was 63rd with 997 points and is now 37th with 1301: up 304 points and 26 places, the largest rise in both tours. Right alongside her, Kimberly Birrell is also into the top 50. She was 60th with 1034 points and is now 41st with 1255, an increase of 221 points and 19 spots.
WTA: who else is moving up
Leylah Fernandez added more points than anyone else, a full 440. From 1454 she climbed to 1894 and moved from 31st to 26th. Maya Joint moved from the edge of the top 100 deeper inside it: she was 99th with 781 points and is now 75th with 934, up 153 points and 24 places. Alina Korneeva added 96 points (892 → 988) and climbed from 82nd to 68th, while Maria Timofeeva added 72 points (873 → 945) and rose from 88th to 73rd.
Losses without losing anything
A separate storyline is McCartney Kessler and Kaitlin Quevedo. Neither has changed in points: 925 and 920 respectively. But each dropped five places: Kessler from 72nd to 77th, Quevedo from 73rd to 78th. They were simply overtaken by those who were gaining.
ATP: pressure around the top 100
Kyrian Jacquet made the biggest leap in the men’s tour. He was 107th with 581 points and is now 85th with 681, up 100 points and 22 places. Hugo Gaston added 43 points (634 → 677) and moved from 97th to 86th, while Roman Safiullin added 50 points (594 → 644) and climbed from 102nd to 91st. Coleman Wong moved right up to the barrier from outside it and crossed it: 108th with 578 points became 100th with 620. Further up, Titouan Droguet (84th → 78th, 690 → 740) and Jaime Faria (68th → 62nd, 871 → 888) are also moving forward.
Those dropping in the ATP are the ones whose point totals are falling. Martin Landaluce lost 119 points (916 → 797) and ten places, slipping from 62nd to 72nd. Sebastian Korda lost 90 points (880 → 790) and nine spots, dropping from 64th to 73rd. Both remain in the third ten behind the top 50, but the gap to it has grown.
