Quentin Halys defeated Coleman Wong 6-4, 7-6 in the round of 128 at the Shanghai tournament and advanced to the round of 64.

For Wong, it was his third match of the tournament: before meeting Halys, he had beaten Cruz Hewitt and Lloyd Harris in qualifying, api.tennis reports.
